Overview:
SALES MANAGER – EMEA
We are recruiting a dynamic Sales Manager with a medical background, ideally within IVF, to help expand and maintain our presence across the EMEA region.
The role will involve managing and supporting our existing distributors by maintaining and developing relationships and ensuring they are fully supported through regular communication. You will assist with order queries to keep the sales process moving forward and a key element of the role will be to develop training plans and organizing workshops to upskill distributors and end users.
As a key person in the expansion of the distribution network. You’ll be tasked with identifying and proposing new distribution opportunities across the territory and pre-qualifying prospective distributors that align with our goals. You will also be responsible for managing the onboarding process of new distributors, ensuring a seamless integration into the network.
A significant focus will also be on business development, achieved by developing a thorough understanding of the product and target market. Your role will include attending industry conferences, workshops, as well as customer visits to help distributors generate leads and promote the product. You’ll also assist existing distributors with the preparation of sales documents, including quotations and pricing plans, and manage the sales negotiation process through to contract signing.
Furthermore, you will take a hands-on role in identifying and managing direct prospective customers in markets where there is no distributor. This will involve preparing quotations, negotiating agreements, and managing the process from lead to order closure. You’ll also be responsible for forecasting and tracking new prospects in the pipeline.
As part of ongoing account management, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities within our existing customer base and capitalizing on them. You will monitor the satisfaction and performance of each customer account regularly, addressing any potential risks and increasing our value through additional sales where possible.
What do you need?
To be successful in this role, you should have proven sales experience within the medical field, ideally with a strong understanding of the IVF sector. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both distributors and customers are essential. You should be proactive in identifying new business opportunities, possess strong negotiation skills, and have a proven track record of closing deals. The role requires the ability to work independently within a remote, international environment and the willingness to travel across the EMEA region (and beyond) as needed. To do this you will need to live within an hour of an international airport.
All this experience will be underpinned with a degree in biology or similar.
