Why did you want an electronic witnessing system?
We evaluated the Matcher system in February 2008 because we particularly wanted to introduce an automated patient ID security system and a system for double checking procedures in our clinic.
How did you decide on Matcher?
We carried out a study over 8 weeks to evaluate various aspects of the system, comparing it to other commercially available systems.
What were the main benefits of Matcher?
We concluded that the main advantages of the Matcher system were ease of use, effective matching of procedures, EU Tissues and Cells directive compliance (excellent labelling and traceability), photographic records of all procedures, flexibility (changes to different procedure protocols can be carried out quickly and easily) and the system is totally safe for exposure to gametes and embryos.
Have you seen savings?
We can demonstrate good value for money because there are big staff time savings and no development costs. The relatively low cost of the service is also recovered from our patients.
How does Matcher fit with your IT systems?
The system fits well with our existing IT systems, which was an important factor for us.
How do you find the Service & Support?
We have received excellent service and support. Our biologists enjoy working with Matcher and have a good interaction with the IMT staff who are always available to help answer questions.
What else impressed you?
We are also impressed with the validation provided with the system and the continuous development (often at our request) to add more features at no cost.
What do your patients think?
Most importantly the response from our patients has been entirely positive and the system promotes enhanced confidence in our clinic.
